Die vier geodätischen Weltraumverfahren werden kombiniert, um globale terrestrische Referenzrahmen (TRF) zu bestimmen. Die derzeit verfügbaren globalen TRFs erfüllen nicht die notwendigen Genauigkeitsanforderungen des globalen geodätischen Beobachtungssystems (GGOS) von 1 mm Genauigkeit und 1 mm/Dekade Langzeitstabilität. Wir untersuchen verschiedene  Kombinationsstrategien (engl. "local, global, space and clock ties") sowie technologische und konzeptionelle Weiterentwicklungen bei den geodätischen Weltraumverfahren.
