Institute of Geodesy and Geoinformation (IGG)
The Institute of Geodesy and Geoinformation (IGG) was founded in 2006 by merging formerly independent geodetic chairs and institutes. The 9 working groups of the institute cover the entire current spectrum of geodesy and are spread over 5 different buildings on the Poppelsdorf campus and another location in the center of Bonn (not shown on the map).
The degree programs Geodesy and Geoinformation ( B.Sc. / M.Sc. ) and Geodetic Engineering ( M.Sc. ) offered by the Institute are two of the few engineering degree programs that can be studied at the University of Bonn.
The IGG is a member of the Faculty of Agricultural, Nutritional and Engineering Sciences and a partner of the Geoverbund ABC/J ( cooperation between the Universities of Aachen, Bonn, Cologne [C] and the Research Center Jülich )
